An industry survey agency predicts that the sales volume of China's two-wheeled electric vehicle market will reach 54 million in 2023. In this regard, representatives from all walks of life who attended the meeting pointed out that this provided new industrial opportunities for Sichuan and Chongqing.
Electric two-wheeled vehicles can be divided into three categories: "electric bicycles", "electric mopeds" and "electric motorcycles". Wang Ning, chairman of the China Electronics Chamber of Commerce, said that the current mileage of electric bicycles has reached more than 100 kilometers, and the charging time is constantly shortening. With the continuous development of technology and the continuous growth of market demand, electric bicycles are expected to become the mainstream mode of transportation for urban travel.
In addition to electric bicycles, in the eyes of many people in the industry, Sichuan and Chongqing should "do their part" in the electric motorcycle industry. In 2022, my country's motorcycle sales will reach 21.42 million, of which electric motorcycles will account for 35%. Affected by the national emission standards, it is estimated that 150 million over-standard motorcycles across the country will turn to the electric market between 2022 and 2025, which will further expand the scale of the electric motorcycle industry.
At the seminar that day, the Chengdu-Chongqing Electric Vehicle Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park located in the Ziyang Linkong Economic Zone was officially awarded a license. Industry insiders believe that this marks that Sichuan-Chongqing cooperation has entered a new stage in creating a new highland for the smart electric vehicle industry.
It is understood that the Chengdu-Chongqing Electric Vehicle Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park has a planned area of more than 500 mu, and will focus on building a high-tech park with complete supporting facilities and a high degree of intelligence. At present, more than 10 enterprises have settled in the park, and more than 30 enterprises intend to settle in it.
In the next step, Sichuan and Chongqing will actively explore joint upstream and downstream enterprises in the production of two-wheelers, jointly carry out technological breakthroughs, reconstruct the industrial ecology and market structure, and guide key enterprises to integrate new technologies such as on-board chips, on-board operating systems, and Beidou navigation with bicycles, The pilot integration of electric bicycles will promote the optimization and upgrading of industrial cooperation models and corporate forms.
